About Us
The Leawood Elementary PTO is an all-volunteer 501c(3) organization that facilitates and funds an incredible academic and social experience for our students and staff.

WHAT DOES THE PTO DO?
Lots! We help organize classroom parties, arrange lunches and other appreciation events for staff, run the Book Fair, help organize Field Day, pay for technology programs to supplement curriculum, reward staff grants to pay for extras around the school, produce the yearbook, host a fall carnival, outdoor movie night, all school assembly, and other social events, and more!

Please register your student(s) on this website. Doing so allows you to get emails from the PTO about what’s going on at the school and in your specific classroom(s). It also gives you access to the school directory, PTO calendar, volunteer signups, lists of staff favorites, and links to purchase LES Spirit Wear and tickets to PTO events, submit yearbook photos, and more.
- To add a student to an existing account, go to this page and click the button at the top to add students. When finished make sure to click Save.
Our PTO Membership Fee is $65 per student and is paid via your BVSD ParentVUE account or via your Membership Toolkit account. This one-time annual fee is charged in place of multiple requests for funds throughout the school year – for field trips, yearbooks, grade-level activities, and more. You can also “fund a friend” which helps support our students that need financial help.

We’re also on Facebook! Our main group is a great source for information and reminders and a way to connect with the LES Community. Each grade level also has an individual group that is also helpful for specific events, questions, and opportunities.
GET INVOLVED!
PTO Meetings are held monthly in the LES Library and we’d love to have you attend. (Check the calendar for an exact schedule.)
Specific opportunities to volunteer your time and requested supplies are listed this website. In addition to helping at our events like the Fall Family Festival, Book Fair, and Field Day and signing up for supplies for classroom parties, we like to treat our staff with lunches and stock their lounge with snacks and supplies.
Our committees are nearly always looking for volunteers and help – please let us know if something looks interesting and we can get you in touch with the right people!
